Ruari Jardine
My name is Ruari Jardine. I’m a surgical trainee working in NHS Highland in Scotland.
I’ve taken time out of my training to complete postgraduate research alongside the University of Aberdeen, and my focus is on the AICE Project.
My role in AICE is merging the scientific concepts of the project with the real world outcomes, using Scottish patient data to validate the artificial intelligence.
Our ultimate goal is to improve the GI diagnostic service and get the right patient, the right investigation.
I’ve enjoyed working alongside international partners and experts in their respective fields.
When I do return to surgical training as a colorectal surgeon, I aim to take this exciting area of research forward into my own clinical practice.
