Robert Jenssen is the Director for Visual Intelligence, a Norwegian Centre for Research-based Innovation. Visual Intelligence is a deep learning research centre for image analysis. Jenssen has research interests at the intersection of machine learning and health.

Jenssen is a professor at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Department of Physics and Technology, Machine Learning Group. He has in addition adjuncts professorships at the Pioneer AI Centre, University of Copenhagen, and at the Norwegian Computing Center.

Kristian Dalsbø Hindberg has a MSc in physics (statistical signal processing) and a PhD in statistics from UiT – The Arctic University of Norway.

In excess to a varied background in various statistical analysis, Kristian has worked with statistics/ epidemiology/ bioinformatics in a medical research group for six years. During these years Kristian completed university level courses in biology, chemistry, human physiology, and cell and molecular biology.

Before AICE, Kristian worked with remote sensing image analysis at UIT. Kristian also has a MSc in Space Studies from International Space University in Strasbourg, France.

Karl Øyvind Mikalsen is Head of department at the University Hospital of North-Norway at the Norwegian Centre for Clinical Artificial Intelligence.

SPKI facilitates the development and implementation of clinical artificial intelligence tools. MIkalsen has research interests at the intersection of machine learning and health. Mikalsen is also an associate professor II at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Department of Clinical Medicine and at UiT Machine Learning Group.

Dr. Lars Ailo Bongo is currently a Professor in health technology at the Department of Computer Science, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway.

His main research interest is to build and experimentally evaluate computer systems for machine learning and bioinformatics health applications. Bongo is the co-founder of the medical technology company Medsensio AS.

Adm. Coordinator of the Center for research based Innovation Visual Intelligence. Experienced Manager with long working history from administration, research administration and research.

Puneet Sharma is working as Associate Professor (in Automation) at the Department of Automation & Process (IAP), UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø, Norway.

His research interests include computer vision, image analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

In the past, Puneet has been involved in a European research and innovation project supported under Horizon 2020 to develop and test within three years a novel way of industrial training enabled by smart Wearable Technology (WT). For details, please see www.wekit.eu
