A room full of expertise, curiosity and engagement made for a memorable and energising AICE roundtable in Glasgow on 19 February 2026.
Thank you to everyone who joined at the University of Strathclyde, both in person and online, and helped create such an open and thoughtful discussion. Bringing together clinical experts, researchers, and system leaders from across Europe and the UK created exactly the kind of space needed for honest exchange and shared reflection.
Throughout the day, there was rich discussion across clinical evidence, cost-effectiveness, infrastructure, and implementation, with sessions and overviews shared by Tassos Koulaouzidis, Gunnar Baatrup, Kostas Triantafyllou, Ferran Torres, Angel Varghese, Bettina Eriksen, and Benedicte Schelde-Olesen, sparking valuable perspectives and debate. The willingness in the room to question, reflect and build on each other’s insights created a genuinely collaborative atmosphere.
Most importantly, the conversation stayed focused on what comes next. How the progress made through AICE can continue to support the effective adoption of AI-supported camera capsule endoscopy in clinical practice, and how collaboration across disciplines and countries will help shape that future.
